I had some extra time on my hands and was looking at the Presidents in the past and candidates for President now and found that many
hail from states that have the 33 degree parallel run through it

I checked with Wikipedia about North Carolina and they say the tip touches it

the 33 degree parallel has some interesting history and the I even found out that Don Siegelman must have been pretty scary to Rove
cause he hailed from the 33 degree parallel

Obama and Hillary don't they could make a change

1. The 33rd Degree Masons assassinated JFK in Dallas (33rd parallel)
Edited on Thu Mar-27-08 02:47 PM by swag
so that Masons Armstrong and Aldrin could perform Masonic rituals on the moon.

There's much more. It's all right here.

2. I was going to make a joke about how this must mean there is a Masonic conspiracy...
Apparently, this actually is a theory.

Is there anyone who can give me an explanation as to the significance of the 33rd parallel? Because I'm pretty sure it's just a coincidence.

3. Even creepier coinky-dink: not a single president was born near the 87th parallel!

9. The largest amount of land mass lies along the 33rd degree parallel
...across the U.S. and for that matter around the world, at least in the northern hemisphere. The rest of the theories deal with just occult bullshit.

10. Nearly the entire Confederacy was centered around the 33rd parallel as well!
Thus, the Confederacy was a Masonic conspiracy.

...

Actually, almost all states in the southern USA, including California pass through the 33rd parallel. Does that mean everyone in a position of power from the South, or California is part of this great conspiracy!? No, because that's ludicrous.

When I hear crazy theories like this, I think about how many significant things are NOT on the 33rd parallel. Nazi Germany, for example, was not on the 33rd parallel. The Hiroshima bombing was not on the 33rd parallel. Soviet Russia had no territory on the 33rd parallel, yet somehow it was one of the most powerful countries in the world. How could that be? New York City, the most powerful city in the world, is not on the 33rd parallel. The printing press was not invented on the 33rd parallel, the lightbulb was not, the airplane was not, and penicillin was not.

There's a good reason though, for many things to have occurred on or near the 33rd parallel, even though bad/good/important things happen everywhere else. The 33rd parallel runs through a very temperate, fruitful zone on the earth. It's a good climate zone for human activity.

But I guess the Masons designed that one.

11. These are mostly recent presidents
You could have added Eisenhower, who was born in Denison, Texas, although he grew up in Abilene, Kansas.

Until after World War II, the states that most dominated the White House were Virginia and Ohio. New York had its share, too, including both Roosevelts and Grover Cleveland. And Fillmore. We mustn't forget Millard Fillmore.

13. I only looked at Presidents after JFK was assasinated
I just saw the recurring theme of the 33 degree

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freemasons
Freemasonry is a fraternal organisation that arose from obscure origins (theorised to be anywhere from the time of the building of King Solomon's Temple to the mid-1600s). Freemasonry now exists in various forms all over the world, with a membership estimated at around 5 million, with around 480,000 in England, Scotland and Ireland alone, and over 2,000,000 in the United States.<1><2> The various forms all share moral and metaphysical ideals, which include, in most cases, a constitutional declaration of belief in a Supreme Being.<3>

Freemasonry uses the metaphors of operative stonemasons' tools and implements, against the allegorical backdrop of the building of King Solomon's Temple, to convey what has been described by both Masons and critics as "a system of morality veiled in allegory and illustrated by symbols.
Masons conduct their meetings using a ritualised format. The Scottish Rite, conferring degrees numbered from 4° up to 33°.<32> It is essential to be a Master Mason in order to qualify for these further degrees.

I believe George W took his oath on a Scottish Rite Bible and he is a Freemason...It would be interesting to see how many are Scottish Rite Freemasons in the list.

List of Freemason Presidents

George Washington, James Monroe, Andrew Jackson, James Polk, James Buchanan, Abraham Lincoln (inducted postmortem by the lodge that he had petitioned for, and was denied, membership in while running for the U.S. Senate), Andrew Johnson, James Garfield, William McKinley, Theodore Roosevelt, William Taft, Warren Harding, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Harry Truman, Lyndon Johnson, and Gerald Ford.

I have no idea who of the Presidents after Ford are Freemasons and what degrees they are???

Its pretty obvious that the SouthWest does carry some weight in Elections
