Montel Williams Calls Out Conservative Soundbiter

Cuts through the BS and calls out all sides on this one.

1. The debate was good. But that poor young veteran looked like he'd of rather been anywhere else.

I've had a few moments in my life where I was stuck in a situational so mortifying that I wished the earth would just open up and swallow me. By the look on that guy's face he was not enjoying that at all.

Of course I know this is just a segment of the show, but in this clip he seems to be treated as a prop.

2. Montel is an honest man

I love him. And he's not going to stand down and let some political hack pass the buck. And if it was a democrat that had said the same thing, I trust he would have had a similar response. Put it to all of those on the hill to go after taking care of our veterans.

He flipped the script on Fox and Friends a while back and I heard he got yanked. Is that true?

5. Really great to hear Montel speak out

But the corporate media has a mandate from on high and that mandate is to QUASH any noise against the Bush/Cheney ruse in Iraq. If he WAS cancelled, his speaking out against the horrors is the reason.
Where's the flag-draped coffins on TV??? Don't they supposedly give us the news? Are not flag-draped coffins (all 4000+ of them) news???

The guy is sitting right there in front of you and you want to blame a political party? Wow no wonder I had never heard of her before-the RNC must be running out the D-leaguers these days.

8. Ok, I'm not going to jump on the Montel bandwagon on this one

Aside from stating the obvious that the young man should be getting all the health care he has earned, Montel fails to refute the criticism that the Democrats are somehow holding-up better care for the troops -- when it's Democrats who have been continuously pushing bigger budgets for Vet hospitals and care; Montel failed to point-out that the troops aren't doing 6-month stints, but 15-to-18 month stints; and, most egregiously, Montel portrayed the horribly wounded soldier as being the "only reason we wake up in the morning under the glory of a flag that flies free." It is more than unfortunate that this brave soldier's wounds are due to our military having been sent into an unnecessary and disastrous war, a war whose outcome will have no effect on our freedom.
