We vote here in Florida for Clinton because we didn’t know much about Obama. If he becomes the nominee we all are willing to vote for and support our nominee. I stumble up on this website by accident while searching Google. I saw the misleading video and had to respond. My family members are die hard Clinton supporters here in Florida. We all vote for Clinton because of the name recognition, none of us knew who the heck was Barack Obama. After watching and hearing Obama on the campaign trail, then we here Hillary recently say that the votes in Florida is FAIR, our support for her has wavered, because she is not being fair-minded. In addition, my family members along with some Clinton surrogates, drum up support for Clinton and I NEVER see or heard of one doing that for Obama. WE Still Love Her But She NEED TO STOP PLAY politics with the UNFAIR vote total here in Florida, it is likely to hurt she if she becomes the nominee.

The airlift education for his father... he isn't relating something that happened to him directly but to his father. Second, his father DID come here on such an "airlift scholarship", but it wasn't sponsored by the Kennedys (any of them). They started sponsoring such a program one year after his father received such a scholarship.

And you are making some sort of equivalence between THIS misstatement and Hillary's first hand account of the Bosnia trip? You must be joking.

This one MAYBE is equivalent to Hillary's story about who she was named after (tying her to Sir Edmund Hillary)... and is one of those typical "family stories" that gets handed down to children from their parents, and the children accept it as gospel.

3. A mistake about a 50 year old program

is not the same thing as claiming something happened to you personally. I'm sure it would be very easy to read an article about the Kennedy's program and, with the dates so close, make the conclusion. So it looks like the Kenyan airlift of his father inspired the Kennedy program, that's nice too. Nothing like saying you're under sniper fire.

6. Where to begin?

1. His father was indeed airlifted to this country, just the Kennedy's weren't the sponsors... though the did sponsor mean, just not that one. Misstatement or simple misunderstanding? 85% true as opposed to Hill's 99% untrue ratio.

2. He got $230,000 in money from gas and oil employees. I guess that is impressive. Or at least it would be if he hadn't raised $40 MILLION from small donors last month. Yeah, those employees are some of those donors (some of that money bundled together), but that's a drop in the bucket. Drop in the bucket money likely equals drop in the bucket influence.

3. He fibbed about stopping smoking.....*shrug*..... And? For the sake of argument let's say this was remotely important on the whole role model front. When's the last time any SAW him doing it?

4. Puninshment = Baby... Bad choice of words made, despite the nifty skipping of the video, 1 time. As opposed to lying about being shot at several times in several different places. Year and a half on the campaign trail speaking semi extemporaneously you're bound to say something you didn't really mean, but hard to believe you make "misstatements" about when someone was trying to kill you.

Yes saying it was Kennedy sponsored wasn't true but I think a fairly harmless misstatement and or repetition of family lore... but he was not saying HE was airlifted. So if a bunch of people from my department give me checks and I hand 'em in does that mean the candidate has taken funds from a bundler representing the IT industry? Or Would that be the food manufacturers? The fact is he has raised the VAST majority of his money from individual donors. And he has stuck to a policy of not taking money from PACs and industry associations or registered lobbyists.

But Barrack Obama has made misstatements. He's not perfect. The question was are they "material?" My opinion is no. Others disagree.
