They were stumped, dumbfounded.

2. Now THAT's the REAL question, isn't it?
I like to think that each of these little steps is part of the change -- we're getting there.

Poor Crocker couldn't say yes or no.

Very impressive questioning.

6. And can you believe Crocker brings up POLLS to prove progress?
What the hell?

I heard this the other day but missed until now that Menendez heads the foreign aid subcomittee

http://www.senate.gov/~foreign/subcommittee.html

I wonder if Crocker knew that.

Also liked it when Biden pretty much said, feel free to submit your own data if you dispute his figures.

8. That look on Patreaus's face near the end as Sen. Menendez laid out
...the realities of failure in Iraq was worth the 10 minutes of watching Amb. Crocker hum and hah and uuh...uuh...uuh every answer he gave to the Senator's questions. Just great!

9. worthy of 11 minutes of my life - that was great...
more people who are on the bubble, or heck, who support this war (they're few and far between, but I know some!) should pay attention these great points - but most refuse to discuss it as taking away focus from the 'murderous muslims' who are out to destroy our country.

yawn... those types were few and far between before the Iraq invasion - now they're growing in numbers because we stay...

dumbass people...

11. I loved every grille-some point he laid out........
.........I only wish the decorum wouldn't inhibit him from using four-letter words to call these stinking deeds just exactly what they are and tell this trinket-laden general and this wanna-be AmbASSador just how intelligent people percieve what they do and how they defend it! :grr:

14. The entire Iraq thing continues
because we don't want to humiliate George W Bush. We don't want to saddle his legacy with an Iraq War failure so we MUST pass it on to a future president we can point to and say "failure". It really is as simple as that.

16. All except one BIG thing ...
The continued posturing of bringing up Iran as the main culprit in aiding so-called insurgents as opposed to Saudi Arabia, which NEVER gets mentioned and IS the main culprit feeds right into the neo-cons wish to attack Iran and if we, and these seemingly naive politicians can't see that we're in big trouble.
