1. Is this the same Raed from "Where is Raed?"

Would this be the same Raed that Salam Pax mentions on numerous occasions on his blog from before, during, and after the invasion at http://dear_raed.blogspot.com?

I was a Salam Pax addict around that time.

2. This one is Raed Jarrar -

and he was in Baghdad during and after the invasion. Now he lives in Washington DC and works for the American Friends Service Committee. Right now he's on a speaking tour with an Iraq Veteran I know from Chicago. I've heard him speak several times; he's an amazing speaker and really makes the situation in Iraq more understandable. His testimony at Winter Soldier was something that I think everyone should hear. He has his own blog, too - http://raedinthemiddle.blogspot.com/

I don't know if that makes him the person you meant or not.

Thanks for the info. It is good to know that these guys are still alive and doing well. During the invasion I remember a long period of time where Salam did not post on "Where is Raed" and there was a lot of worry until he showed back up. There was pretty incredible stuff in that blog. I particularly think they were incredibly brave for posting the things they did before the invasion because Saddam's regime would not have been kind to them had they been caught.

4. You're right, they were very brave and admirable

and they're still trying to make real difference. People like Raed are the real heroes in this world - the people who try to teach the rest of us what the real truth is even when there could be a high price to pay for doing so.
