Here's another great clip of Cenk asking If the Iraqis Are On Our Side, Who Are We Fighting in Iraq? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jZk2wdCMBfk

Also, here's more of what Cenk has to say on Iraq...

The Two Central Myths of the Iraq War
By Cenk Uygur

Yesterday on our show I talked about the two central myths of the Iraq War:

1. There is no central government of Iraq who can take over as soon as we leave and run a peaceful, stable and flourishing Iraq.

2. More time in Iraq is not going to produce any more gains for us because we're headed in the wrong direction. More time might help if you're headed in the right direction, but only hurts your cause if you're going the wrong way.

Normally, I would write about this, but I think I explained it best yesterday on the show. Think about the business analogy at the end of this video -- under any other circumstance, we would never give more time and money for a failing enterprise like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dl4RjqTb5-8

Also, in case you missed it, Cenk recently had a great interview with Iraq expect Juan Cole: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o8887Soatr4

This led Cenk to ask the question, "Why Is General Patraeus Helping Iran?": http://www.huffingtonpost.com/cenk-uygur/why-is-general-petraeus-h_b_95608.html

PS---You can always watch TYT Live from 3-5 pm ET, with a Rolling Post Game 5-7 pm daily Monday-Friday at www.theyoungturks.com (both shows include a live chat). The RPG often contains political talk but also many non-political topics to lighten things up (and yes, that audio may not necessarily be work-safe).

Also, if you can't watch live, the 3-5pm portion of the show (politics) streams the rest of the day, all day right after the Post Game Show ends leading up to the initial show at 3pm.

3. Only if Bush & Co let them
It wouldn't surprise me at all if Bush (more likely Cheney) is allowing Malaki to draw us troops into a civil war so that the argument can be made for the continued presence of US forces indefinitely.

On the observation that the Americans or "simply" the largest militia in Iraq. By definition, this cannot be true. The Americans are occupying Iraq and no legalese that the White House cabal gives Dana Perino to repeat changes that. The militias know the Americans will leave, long before another hundred years passes, and are jockying for position in a post-colonial Iraq.

It's almost not worth discussing since whatever Bush is doing comes to an end when President Obama is inaugurated on January 20.

4. Cenk is great. He is not broadcast on KTLK in L.A.
I don't know why. The station would do well to broadcast him.
