But I still think it was on purpose. :) Obama refers to Hillary Clinton, and then pauses & stops speaking as he does the gesture so that the audience can catch his meaning. You can see the guy seated behind him straining to see what happened - he couldn't see Obama, but he could see the audience's reaction & wanted to see what Obama did. He knew there wasn't anything in Obama's speech itself that would create an audience reaction like that. Obama's got a petulant side, & it comes out in small things like this. Eh, everyone's got flaws. IMO he's still bothered by the debate.
