1. This as has been shut down by the RNC. It won't run.
RNC CALLS WRIGHT AD 'NOT APPROPRIATE'

From NBC/NJ's Carrie Dann
Update to NC Gop anti-Obama ad that references the Rev. Jeremiah Wright...

Per the RNC, the national leadership of the Republican Party has been in contact this morning with the North Carolina GOP, urging them to refrain from running the "Extreme" ad. The party says that the content of the anti-Obama ad, which references the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, is "not appropriate" and "unhelpful."

The NC GOP is an independent organization not bound to the recommendations of the national party. A spokesman from the NC party declined to comment on any conversations between the RNC and the North Carolina team.

Not a very affective ad anyways, if you ask me.

17. The NC GOP still m ay run it
MaCain and the RNC have asked that it be pulled. The NC GOP hasn't said either way and, at this time, it still may be run. I guess this one won't say, "I'm John McCain and I approved this message".

On another note, has anyone noticed how cordial the last Dems debate was but then, the next day, it got nasty again? There was so much ass kissing during that debate I thought I'd puke. (Oh yes, I think he/she can beat McCain but I think I'm the better candidate.) Then the next day they're slinging more insults. I thought my home state (Oregon) finally would get a say on the presidential primary (it's always over by the time we vote in May) but I just wish they'd call it and get on with defeating McCain.

19. The link you gave us doesn't say the RNC shut it down. The ad will run anyway
Politico reports that the NC GOP will run the ad, in defiance of McCain:

2. Since Hillary has been officially pushing the Wright angle to the SDs, can we officially label her
tactics right-wing?

8. Well, her repeated pro-war votes and Iranian saber-rattling made me think that at first...
but thanks for clearing it up, glad we could get this sorted out.

5. Hillary + the GOP
Is there anyone out there who doesn't understand now that the GOP is absolutely giddy over trying to get Hillary the nomination, or at the very least, helping her in any way possible to smear the hell out of Obama? And Hillary is more then just a willing pawn in their game.

Judas? Richardson? No... Hillary is the Judas. She's sold out to the Republicans now. They are one and the same. Fox News is suddenly pro-Hillary? Limbaugh is pro-Hillary? The Repubs are falling all over themselves to give kudos to Hillary at every turn, and Hillary fans not only accept the praise, the bask in it, brag about it, point it out as a reason to vote for her.

Did anyone miss the memo about "the enemy of my enemy is my friend"? This is the Repub strategy. Obama is their enemy. Hillary is their friend. Is it any wonder that almost 30% of Hillary folks (and the number could go higher) would vote for McCain over Obama? It's because these people may as well be Republicans. They're not Democrats, that's for sure.

If you're one of those Democrats who plan to vote for Obama once he's sealed the nomination, then this post isn't directed at you.

10. nobody unites the republicans better
than a clinton.

thats for sure.

why people think shes better for the general election given the high negative few of her nationwide and the fact that almost ALL republicans have wet dreams about defeating the clintons.

13. Pat Buchanan
He has been absolutely raving about Hillary at every turn, spinning it like the momentum is surely on her side, that Obama has "peeked" as he put it, and that Hillary is going to take it now. He's giddy with the prospect, ignoring the math like most of the pundits, and smiling like a cheshire cat that just swallowed a canary every time he gets to spin something positive for Hillary.

I'm convinced that they all met behind closed doors and planned this all along, just like Limbaugh did publicly. It's all a farce, and many Democrats are falling for it.

20. During the first months, the GOP was Obama-friendly
They are only attacking him now because he will be the nominee. It is not that the GOP wants Hillary to win. They want to undermine Obama as much as possible ahead of the McCain-Obama matchup.

7. No one could have imagined that the Republicans
would make these kinds of attack ads! When did Republicans start doing things like this? It seems very unfair to to make an ad like that. Lets hope they don't do any more ads like this. It's all just so ugly and unfair.

16. I know. Obama is going to unite us with them. Why haven't they gotten the "hope and change" memo?
I thought Obama was going to merge the two parties into one big happy family?

18. Pat Buchanan wants the republicans to run against Hillary, that puts enough of a question mark
on Hillary's head to give me pause.

Add to that her fawning all over the people who destroyed her husband and his administration. In doing so her new group of friends helped to open the door for BushCo to get so close to Al Gore that he could steal the election. I can no longer support her.

I think she has gotten off the track. I don't know why or how or at what exact point it happened. But it has happened. She is off her message and onto republican attack points.

When her husband ran he got well deserved credit for never letting verbal mud go unanswered. That is very different from going into the mud pie making business yourself. I don't remember his campaign ever doing this, especially to another democrat.

She needs to re-evaluate what she is doing and more importantly, why she is doing what she is doing.
