3. Who backed this film?

The question isn't so much that Ben Stein is a nut-job, we all have known that at least since 'Bueller...Bueller', the real question is who in hell was stupid enough to put money into this or any other project this fool was involved in? His nonsensical 'commentaries' - with the stupid little smirk/grin at the end - are just that, nonsense. In fact, his latest this past Sunday - I guess on CBS, but I'm not really sure - gave hell to Texas, or whoever was in charge of closing down the polygamy thing down that way, for taking away all these children from their mommas. How dare they! Interesting that the very next day it was made public that half of the teenage girls were pregnant. Should they go back to their mommas - and daddy's - Ben? You are a complete jerk, but we need you to hang around for the next six months or so so that we can point to you as just another right-wing fool - rather like a Chauncey Gardner of the right.
