and has changed immeasurably from the young man who was incarcerated at first.

I purchased a book by Murat Kurnaz, one of the German nationals incarcerated there. The treatment he describes in that book is horrific; I can't finish the book.

This is not civilized. It is not compassionate. Freedom is a foul joke in this context.

3. I wonder why these sickos let anyone get out of there alive

to tell the gruesome tale. It makes me think they're still cocky enough to believe no serious backlash will come from it.

Nothing an American can say to Sami al-Hajj will be enough of an apology.
