'May 4th 1970, Kent State University: National Guard killed 4 students and wounded 9. Some of them who did not take part in any action at a 100 yds range.
Start and end sequence of a 1 hr documentary special by Germany's WDR TV. Coverage originating from major U.S. networks. TV Teams of NBC, ABC and CBS had been present. Where has their material gone?"

1. I had never seen this before. I had heard the crosby song,
but didn't realize it was about the students that were attached by American soldiers. Isn't there a law that prevents American Soldiers from killing Americans?

3. This was actual footage! To shoot into a crowd of students like that
:wow: is unbelievable to me ,yet here it is, on film!

I was 12 years old at the time and I sure don't remember seeing this on TV...

My dad, a loyal Nixon and Reagan (Democrat) defended Nixon at the time.. and it hurt me...
You didn't argue with my dad, he couldn't be swayed,
At the time ,he said they were hippies that must have, deserved to be shot.

However,If my dad saw this actual video, he would have thought differently about Nixon and Viet-Nam,it's sad...

Some of the victims were not involved in the actual protest-just passing by to get to their classes...
This video really opened my eyes and I too, thought there was a law against this...It's sad and also scary...

I hope and pray this doesn't happen again... :hide:

4. It was called the Posse Comatatis act
but thanks to Heir Bush it's now null and void, like the rest of our laws and the Constitution.
