1. The Philippe Sands lecture should be mandatory for every DUer.

I can't recommend this thread strongly enough. This is information that every American should understand. We have important choices to make this November.

We need to return to the values that lead Abraham Lincoln to order the merciful treatment of prisoners of war in what was probably the most violent, and emotionally charged of all of the wars this nation has ever fought. If you doubt the horrible violence of that war, if you think I am exaggerating, just visit some of the battle sites or read about the specific battles on Google.

The Bush administration has ruled this country as if there were no tomorrow. We have to change. We have to get a Democrat in power who has the courage to challenge the conventional wisdom about how we best secure our nation's future.
