1. If not Biden as VP- perhaps Hagel? Obama/Hagel '08...
sounds like a Unity ticket to me.

5. hagel: the next best thing to the perfect vp
because there is no perfect pick. some non-progressive views - yes. but, is there anyone among us who is not a wee bit conservative? hagel is smart, well-spoken, and one of the few open-minded republicans. obama/hagel would be history-making.

6. NO WAY...
There are too many domestic policy disagreements to have Hagel a VP - I would MUCH rather have him as SecDef.

2. "We think we're doing our part by putting a bumper sticker on our cars."
Hahahaha..

This guy sounds cool. I'm sure he's pretty conservative, but a reasonable one. I didn't know they still had those.

3. I'd go so far as to say...
that Hagel is the best of the currently serving Repubs. I don't agree with him on most issues, but at least I feel that when he says something, I can take him at his word. How many other Repubs can you say that about? Hell, how many Dems? Still, he is NOT what we need on the ticket as VP.

4. I also guess
he did not much appreciate Obama being branded unpatriotic because he usually does not wear a lapel flag pin (which incidentally Hagel doesn't either).
