Warner convinced Marshall Coleman to run and suck Republican votes away from North-he did and Chuck Robb was re-elected. This cost Coleman his marriage too.




Between 1969 and 1974 he spent most of his time in offices and classrooms and on training assignments. In late 1974 he again took charge of troops when he became a company commander, as a captain, on Okinawa. Just 29 days into the assignment, North--described to me by a follow officer who saw him at the time as an "emotional wreck"--surrendered his command.

5. Anyone who has been in the military

knows that a Lt.Col, does not have the authority to do what he did. The whole thing was absolutely against the laws of the United States and it went much higher than a lowly Lt. Col. He was simply the bag man if you want to put it into criminal terms. Now that Bush lite has sealed all presidential papers effectively until the government falls (see Bush presidential fiat 2001) we will never know what the real story is and the damage done to this country by the corrupt government of Reagan and Bush I. I do think however that all paperwork that gave orders and such has long since been through the paper shredder more than a few times and burned. This has to be one of the lowest points in any administration in American history. It opened the way for a selected few in government to openly lie to the American people to get their way which Bush lite has been doing since the day he took office.
