1. Serious question, what percentage do you think of those people have been
in a Starbucks?

9. I think its a ridiculous notion that isn't worthy of serious discussion.
I know HRC supporters are good at changing metrics around, but arguing over starbucks percentages is just more than my brain can take.

the real question: why in the world do you care, and what does it matter? i'm guessing most of "blue collar" america has been into a starbucks at least a handful of times in their lives. its like asking if you've ever been to a mcdonalds. if you live in this country, chances are you've been to a starbucks by now.

16. and that means what exactly?
you're not really scoring any points here except illustrating a severe disdain for commercially successful coffee.

3. Who are "those people"?
The teamsters, the teachers, the SEIU, AFSCME and UFCW members? Many people there today belonged to those groups-- I know because I was there, and my husband belongs to one of those unions. But just for the record, I'd wager most of "those people" have stepped foot in a Starbucks. We all self-medicate to get through 9 months of grey, dreary skies. The gorgeous weather this week was an anomaly.

4. also, when did Starbucks become such a dirty word?
I mean, its coffee for god's sake. Is this the new dividing line between white and blue collar? Starbucks vs Dunken Donuts?

Stupid, stupid, stupid.

5.  How many are registered to vote? Good question. How many more will register after this?

Who the hell cares about your "serious question"? What a trivial irrelevancy!!

6. Some of us prefer Stumptown Roasters in Portland.
Regardless, your question is strange.

10. Hi L Coyote! Thanks so much for posting this. We didn't go because of family commitments...
Edited on Sun May-18-08 11:41 PM by Radio_Lady
Looks like an even bigger crowd than the rally my husband attended in 2004 for John Kerry. Alas and alack...

I hope we Democrats do better this time.

WE JUST HAVE TO...

11. I was on the waterfront for Geraldine Ferraro. Great spot for political gatherings
Didn't we have a massive gathering there for Gore too? Or was that Bill Clinton?

This is by far the most inspiring part of the Obama movement -- holding huge rallies and events.
But, you've got to be kidding me; 75,000 is no "huge". It is HUMONGOUS!

WHOA! It gave me chills up and down my spine. This is really something. ........
