PART II: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=30Gc6q60gVg

An incomplete transcript of Rove's Siegelman "denial" has been floated on the internet,
one leaving out words and syllables which change what Rove actually said!!
HERE is the actual transcript:

======
George: "... You did not contact the Justice Department about this case?

Karl: "I, I, I read about, a, I'm gonna simply say what I've said before, which is, I found out about Don Siegelman's investigation and indictment by reading about it in the newspaper."

George: "But that is not a denial."

Karl: "Ah, a, I've I've, I've, a, ah, you know I read about a, I heard about it, read about it, learned about it for the first time by reading about it in the newspaper."

======
Reflections on analysis: There is no actual denial in all that.

FIRST QUOTE: Karl DOES NOT use the word "first" to describe how he learned about it. He just asserts that he can read and has read. We knew that.

SECOND QUOTE: A very clever parsing takes place. "YOU KNOW" is the clever qualifier. "...you know I ... learned about it for the first time..."

That is still not a denial. That, taken literally, was just Karl stating what he assumes George knows. Karl DOES NOT deny he was involved in the crime.

And what is with the stammering? Cleverly covering up the parsing, or a nervous liar at work.
Either way, if this was a child in the schoolyard denying something, the poor kid would be soooooOO OOOO BUSTED!!!!

THIRD: Dang, that was difficult mutterancing to transcribe!!

3. Until Carl Rove swears under oath we might as well be listening to him Fart the national anthem.

The issue is whether or not a conservative Republican adviser to the conservative President can be compelled by subpoena to testify or plead the fifth amendment.

President Bush and the Department of Justice, in refusing to enforce subpoena's, are obstructing justice. They will obstruct the system to run out the clock then everyone, no matter how remotely tied to this administration will get a pardon.

It doesn't matter whether Rove did or did not deny. It really doesn't matter what he says here.

5. this guy isn't so much a genius more of a opportunist
hell if I had a opposition party trying to destroy itself I could coach a campaign to a win also. In the south Democrats had no get out the vote effort,and lacked organization. Now that has changed Karl Rove hates anything liberal/progressive and they will do anything in their power to destroy it. When BO talks about working with Republicans he's talking about the likes of Hagel,not this corrupt,sorry individual. thanks for the video
