5. Russert is surely not one to go out on a limb for the left
He never had any problems repeating the Rove talking points for years, but he is no the type to lead on a story, especially if it could get him "Rathered".

So that tell me the Obama came told him a bunch of the names of SDs they have in the bank and Russert called them to confirm. It wouldn't be hard to do.
