Gregory trying his best to get in all of the right wing talking points. McClellan not qualified to make statements about the war. Rinse, repeat. Nothing about the elephant in the room - the presidential use of propaganda against the American public.

1. I just wrote about this over at www.theyoungturks.com

I watched that segment and was disgusted by both of them (and just now Dan Abrams really pissed me off along the same lines): http://www.theyoungturks.com/story/2008/5/28/19410/0385

2. My question: why did it take McClellan so long to dig up his soul and recover it?

3. Because he was a Bush loyalist
And a life-long Republican. And admitting the mistakes of others meant admitting his own mistakes and that he was playing for the wrong team and that he helped screw his country.

And he knew he'd be an outcast to many in his party, and that friends of his would think he betrayed them and on and on and on.
