2. Cornyn a beneficiary of rigged midterms of 02.
There is no way that election in Texas was legal.

Both Cornyn and his staff are obviously far removed from reality.

Help elect Rick Noriega to this seat.

6. It was Texas, after all.
Ron Kirk was much closer in the polls, even ahead in many demographics, so the 55 to 43 numbers just didn't pass the sniff test for me.

I was living there at the time and volunteering for Ron in a rural precinct, all white, so it was an uphill battle out there, but the whole thing reeked of fraud to me at the time.

5. Watch the video closer
Cornyn is faking the horse riding. He never makes it out of the pen. They stuck a hat on him and he probably had to use a step stool to get on top of the poor animal.

That's what I noticed when I saw the vid on HuffPost.

10. I posted that vid in the Texas forum
I'm so glad TYT showed the whole thing. Thee only other place to see it (so far) is offa Cornyn's YouTube page.

I like what Cenk said about there being no need to make a parody. That vid IS the parody!

political ad, but it's pure comedic genius for those of us that like to laugh at republickans. I hope the people that produced it do one for McLame.

21. "Maybe I need a new staff." - John Cornyn
Edited on Wed Jun-18-08 04:07 PM by mcg
from http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/06/16/texas-senator-cornyn-back_n_107379.html

"My staff convinced me it was a good idea...Maybe I need a new staff."

Those words were spoken by Texas Senator John Cornyn after his staff produced the attached video. Intended as an introduction to the Republican Party of Texas state convention, the video, featuring awesomely overwrought voice overs and the most stoned gospel chorus ever assembled, basically depicts Cornyn as a dull-witted rodeo clown who never descends from his horse or stops dressing like Jon Voight in Midnight Cowboy.

Yes, "Big John", you need a new staff, and bigger balls.
