The four family members of the four Blackwater employees slain in the brutal and tragic Fallujah attack present a joint opening statement to the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee.



(Greeby's note - for those who didn't watch, Repukes Issa and Shays' behaviour was a complete disagrace, trying to impugn the ladies motives and suggesting that the lawyer wrote the statement. They also tried to make it a partisan issue. Waxman had to lay down the law to these assholes)

1. I sympatize with that woman, and Blackwater was lying when

they made all those promises about security...the same way the military recruiters do! HOWEVER, common sense should tell everyone that you aren't going to be gitting $3000+ a month for riding around in a war zone and be totally protected from harm.

I agree with her that Blackwater should be held accountable for theirunfulfilled promises, but SO SHOULD the military!

6. I don't sympathize

I feel sympathy for the military personnel who gets deployed without any choice in the matter and who get payed crap for their service. However, I did my time in the army, and the day I feel any sympathy for a mercenary will be a very cold day in hell in deed. Mercs are scum with no code and no honor, screw the lot of them... as far as I am concerned the fallyjah guys got a warm up session for what they were about to experience in the afterlife.
