1. That is one Sick MOFO! Quote me on this!

And there are times when we must "undermine authority" because authority too many times cannot be trusted!

Of course videos can be taken out of context, but the teacher was out of line. Why was he holding a stick in the air?

I have witnesses abuse by teachers. I have been phyiscally assaulted. If any teacher ever assaulted my child, I will take their GD retirement away and sue the shit out of the school system!
And just like with the police and municipal workers, I say break the teachers unions up. Government workers do not need unions! They have enough power!

20. I'm going to disagree with you on one thing...
Teachers absolutely need unions...not to protect them from students and parents, but to protect them from the rest of the public education establishment, ie the school admin. I was very anti teachers unions until I worked in a public school and figured out very very quickly that I needed them. The administration can put you in the most ridiculous situation that just screams lawsuit, but if anything happens, you had better believe they will sacrifice a teacher rather than get their own butt in trouble for their own mistakes. Otherwise, I agree with you 100%:-)

2. OMG, this is shocking
You know, what gets me personally is that I specifically chose not to become a teacher because I know I get mad and yell. And yet, I have never in my life acted like these teachers and people are defending them?? Incredible. Just incredible. This is abuse and any poor parent knows they'd have lost their kids if they had been taped acting like this.

4. Let me just tell y'all right now - that teacher that smacked the boy in front of him
If that were my son, y'all would be collecting bail money for me right now.
That stupid bitch - and face it, if she claims she's a former teacher and still thinks like this- she's a stupid bitch - says why don't they take these videos to the principals and show them. 9 times out of 10, they do and they are disciplined for taking video in a class while the fact that the teachers are hitting and verbally abusing the students is swept under the rug.

Like I said, y'all would be collecting bail money for me right now.......

10. MUCH as I was tempted to put a response like that . . .
Edited on Wed Feb-14-07 02:58 PM by HughBeaumont
. . .and . ..believe me, it would take every single OUNCE of restraint not to bust in that class and go Jet Li on those assholes if I found out my kid was struck . . .

:dilemma:

I opted to do the RIGHT thing and demand resignation, unless the local and national news wishes to hear about this. Assault criminally hurts BOTH parties. I'd rather hurt just one.

5. Oh, we can't let them "compromise the educational process"!
How will they ever learn anything if the teachers aren't allowed to beat them? How can you have any pudding if you don't eat your meat?!?!

6. Teacher like that should be fired.
And if the kids get any grief for videotaping that kind of abuse, the administrator responsible should be fired too.

That kind of behavior is ridiculous. x(

Edited on Wed Feb-14-07 02:54 PM by HughBeaumont
Faux news is classic for victim blaming, but this just goes over the damned top. You smack kids around like animals and perform tantrum babyshit like smashing their cellphones, then "the fool" is exactly the way they're going to act, lady. If they know their teacher is a coked-up hothead, why wouldn't they push his buttons? Kids don't respect hotheads.

I was physically handled by a teacher in eigth grade in front of the whole class, so I know where these kids are coming from. That humiliation never goes away. Chip-on-their-shoulder goons like the ones here shouldn't BE teachers. They should be bouncers. Go beat up drunk frat boys like you want to, you stupid fucks.

Any teacher hits my kid, I'd bust in the school THAT DAY and demand that bastard's head. If I don't touch my own kid, you sure as shit aren't going to.

Edited on Wed Feb-14-07 04:44 PM by truebrit71
The "ex-teacher" is completely out of her pea-brained mind....for those of you that paid close attention to the entire video I offer the following:-

The teacher that threw the phone on the ground owes my kid a new phone, the teacher that manhandled the child out of the room gets manhandled into a wall by me, several times, and the teacher that hit and slapped that child as the "ex-teacher" moran was blabbering on, better put his fucking nikes on, 'cos I'd be coming after his ass with a very large piece of wood...

I am absolutely amazed that ANY of these teachers is still employed...

21. Fair comment
It makes far more sense just to suspend the kids or permanently expel repeated trouble makers. Apart from that if the kids can use their mobiles in class there would be no harm in the all classes being videod by the schools which is what all of this may eventually lead to.

19. Everytime the topic of punishment comes up in schools it reminds me
of my Elementary school experience. They allowed paddling back then, I only received one paddling in my life but it was because I wanted it... I wanted to feel what it was like. After that, I didn't want to do that again...but that's another story. I had this one 5th grade teacher named Ms. Brown and she was a mean teacher. She was a very good teacher but she was a mean one. She enjoyed it when she had to paddle her students. There was this one particular boy in my class that would get a paddling at least once per week. You could hear the paddling down the halls and his screaming. Now that I am older and think about that, that was child abuse big time. All the kids always felt real bad when she did it. She would re-enter the classroom after one of her paddlings, she had the look like "yes, I am the boss, do not cross me!" I know this kid would go home with bruises on his buttocks and I wonder why the parents never barred that teacher from paddling their son. I was so glad when I was promoted to the 6th grade. I didn't like the experience in her class.

22. That lawyer lady, Lauren Lake, is a lunatic.
She blames the students for what the teachers do. Logic: The students should have disciplined the teachers via the principal.

She should be jailed.

23. The ex-teacher lawyer is a fast talker isn't she?
If you or I manhandled any kid or hit any kid on the head like those teachers are shown doing the results would be charges of abuse and jail. Those teachers should be charged with abuse. Period.
