Video: Frighteningly inappropriate comments elicit bizarrely inappropriate laughter

And now it's time for a new segment here at G-A-Y that we like to call:

This edition courtesy of our early-rising friends at the "Today" show:

What was all that? And did you catch Meredith's "I thought they were up his butt" comment in the last few seconds? Just weird, the whole situation!

Although if you think that was awkward, you should have seen later in the broadcast when this particular birthday greeting...

..sent Willard Scott into bona fide hysterics!

1. On the one hand...

It shows how stupid Mr. Hardaways is (can he speak English?)

On the other... it should have been appalled silence!

2. I kind of think they were laughing AT HARDaway, not WITH him.
But I could be wrong.

Still, it was weird.

4. Why is anyone surprised?
Say it ... laugh about it.

Anti-gay, violent, misogynistic themes are MAINSTREAM corporate values.

6. It seemed perfectly normal to me.
The first time I heard the recording, I laughed out loud (in an airport lounge). A lot of the laughter was at how she threw Al "under the bus" for making her giggle. I'm not a big fan of Today, but this clip seemed harmless.

Peace

Where you have to laugh so you don't cry.

10. "I am not a role model." Well, duh.
That was Sir Charles' quote, but hey, same difference.
