Heart-breaker, really. Nothing dramatic, and almost certainly nothing that still exists.

2. You Do Know ...
That all those happy people, enjoying their lives as best they could were all:

TERRORISTS!
AL-QUIDA!
BIN-LADEN SUPPORTERS!
THE PEOPLE WHO THREW OUR INSPECTORS OUT!
THE PEOPLE THAT HID THE WMD!
THE PEOPLE THAT DID 9/11!
THE PEOPLE THAT HATED AMERICA!
THE PEOPLE THAT TRIED TO KILL THE PRESIDENTS DADDY!
THE PEOPLE THAT HAD ALL OUR OIL!
:sarcasm:
I hate our leaders for what they have done.

7. What have we done?
All these smiling people. Happy people. Children, dogs. Regular folk.

I wonder how many of them are dead now because of this illegal war?

I wonder if there is a single one of them who is still alive who doesn't now hate the US?

What have we done?

8. I feel like I was looking into another world that cannot possibly exist anymore.
This is the problem with many Americans, their refusal to look at other cultures and see how much we have in common with them.

Like the other posters have said, I can't help but look at the smiling faces of the people in this video and wonder which one of them are dead now, or their children or parents or brothers or sisters or friends are dead. Which ones have lost limbs, are blind, are deaf, are impoverished.

You can bet that hardly any of them smile anymore.

Thank you for sharing this video. bush was stupid, stupid, stupid. If he really wanted to bring democracy to Iraq, he would have encouraged tourism. Baghdad was fascinating.

9. Until this point they only had to suffer from sanctions.

If the US wanted to, Iraq could be very rich, developed and powerful. But that's not the goal.....

10. What a beautiful culture...
everyone out on the streets, spontaneous laughter, celebration. What beautiful people.

May Iraq one day return to what it once was...

12. Wow, you're right, nothing dramatic, and yet...

Its the very ordinariness of it all that makes it so heartbreaking to watch.

Reminded me a lot of the streets of New York, actually.

That thought made me realize that as I was watching it, I really did get the same feeling I get every time I see the scars from where the Trade Towers were, or when I see an old picture of the New York skyline. Just an overwhelming, gut wrenching wish that I could just put it all back the way it was.

Same way I feel about our entire country, come to that.

Very sad feeling.
