1. well she did cut out a number of verses...
Not sure you can make that a "happy" song and have it still work.

...and this video was made in 2000.

It is a sad song--the way I hear it anyway. Who knows what Don McLean's original meaning was.

About Madonna--she's left the United States and lives in Europe. I think Madonna knew many
years ago, that this country was going down the tubes.
