can't quote you the precise chapter and verse on that, but still I'd bet large that it's illegal. Like really, really, really illegal.
Seems to me that would constitute grounds for immediate impeachment and removal from office.

But W's grandfather Prescott didn't seem to care about that either, while he supplied arms to Germany, and ran banking and steel businesses under Hitler, until he was convicted under the Trading With The Enemy Act.

Yeah, it's TREASON.
