23. I think the only reason she does a better job of speaking...
is because she was trained to be a sports/newscaster.

She may be shrewd, but when it comes to deeper thinking or knowledge, she's as dumb as a post.

and in the beginning of the war on Iraq; 'they hate our freedoms' rant sounds oddly

familiar.

This is so true....Only GB was the teenage kid in school that we all know so well. He would say anything, it would be a lie..he knew he it wasn't true, he knew you knew it wasn't true, but would say it with a straight face. Although he most likely was put up to saying it, he thought he had come up with it himself. Palin is a beauty queen, right wing nut with a crazy religion ding bat bimbo.

Edited on Thu Sep-25-08 11:48 PM by Poseidan
Under-water, she must deal with a Great White (Biden). On land, a Den of Lions awaits her every move. And the King of the Jungle... is most displeased with her.

Apparently, the Republican base love Palin. Can someone explain what is wrong with the Republican base? Are they nuts? Are they stupid? Are they traitors (confederates, possibly)? Do they not realize our nation is already a laughing-stock, and Palin will be a bigger national disaster than the Bush administration?

15. Who is dumber: Palin, or the voters?
You would think Republicans would get tired of voting for the dumb guy every time. But somehow intelligence in a candidate is a drawback called elitism. No matter how badly she does in a debate, I don't think it will matter. Bush was horrible in debates vs. Gore and Kerry, and they said he won!
I'm sorry fellas, but I don't have a good feeling about this election. Hope I am wrong.

21. I think you came the closest with "Confederates".
I don't think right-wingers have ever been really comfortable with America and our Constitution. They were the Tories who didn't want America to even exist in the 18th Century. They were the Confederate slaveholders who wanted to secede in the 19th Century. They fought against the Civil Rights Movement in the 20th Century. And they're still here!

38. Carpetbaggers ?
In United States history, carpetbaggers was the term southerners gave to northerners who moved to the South during Reconstruction, between 1865 and 1877. They formed a coalition with freedmen (freed slaves), and scalawags (southern whites who supported Reconstruction) in the Republican Party.

24. Unintended Reaction?
Did anyone else catch the incredulous reaction from Katie Couric? Just a couple sentences into Palin's 'non-answer', we hear this:

Palin: " . . . ultimately what the bailout does is help those who are concerned about the healthcare reform that is . . . "
Couric: "What!?"
Palin: " . . . needed to shore up our economy . . . "

When a professional interviewer can't contain their disbelief at the sheer idiocy of a candidate's answer, what does that say about the intelligence of the person answering?

BTW, the 'Head of Skate' video on collegehumor is FANTASTIC! Check it out: http://www.collegehumor.com/video:1831461

28. Sarah Palin cannot even match up the correct talking points
Palin cannot even match up the appropriate talking points to the question.

She certainly is incapable of actually answering questions in a novel, informed manner.

This is a sure sign of someone who lacks intelligence and basic knowledge.

As Cafferty said today, the thought of her being one 72 year old heartbeat away from the Presidency should scare people.

30. Is she dumber than Dan Quayle too?
Until Sarah got her 15 minute screening by McBush, Quayle stood out as the poster boy for dumb VP picks. Amazingly, every time she opens her mouth to speak, albeit briefly, something even more crazy stupid than Quayle comes out.

31. She should have just said...
Yeah, give the corrupt cronies all they want, a blank check, screw the little guy!

That would have been much more more redeeming (and honest) than the rambling nonsensicle gibberish that she offered up. This person is way out of her league, and whatever criteria the McCain campaign had for considering basic candidate qualifications, they somehow let their process fall through the cracks with a resounding thud. This perfromance makes Dan Quayle (and even GWB) look gifted.

34. one dumb bun-ee
no brain under that bun.
I have spoken to people of 'humbler' occupations than governor or mayor who have actually answered and discussed such questions like those Katie asked with intelligence and insight. Palin's answers are ridiculous; they arent even answers. Completely unprepared.

And I cringe when she speaks--her accent is far too much fake midwestern/Alaskan and being a former townie I am offended by her laying it on so thick as if it would make her endearing. She is not. She is a fake. In every way. Just like Bush with his fake southern drawl. Sickening.

My problem is with the media, because they are so focused on their ratings, that they will fuck the country over by not exposing this VP pick for the truth... She's like a box of rocks, upstairs.

The media fucked us before with the war in Iraq, by not exposing the truth and to my fears... it may happen again.

44. Palin sets new standards for stupidity every time she speaks to the media. McCain's no better.
Yet, I see McCain/Palin signs popping up on peoples' yards like weeds.

If Obama or Biden had come across anywhere near this stupid in any of their media appearances, this election would have been over right then.

If Obama or Biden had a teenage daughter who is expecting a child out of wedlock, this election would have been over.

If Obama had dumped his first wife in favor of an heiress who's almost young enough to be his daughter, the election would have been over by now.

And I haven't even mentioned the Bridge to Nowhere, Troopergate, Wasilla's post-Palin debt load, Palin's faith in a witch hunter......

47. During the interview Palin referred to trade missions made to Russia.
Did she visit Russia on any of those trade missions?

Did they actually have trade missions to Russia, or did she just try to lump Russia in with other business trips made on behalf of the state, hoping nobody caught it?

I thought I read where Palin didn't get a passport until 2007, so I have my doubts she made any trips to Russia.

We ought to check this out. Given her track record of lying all of the time, this can be another lie to throw on the heap.

She is worse maybe then Bush. You know she is embaressing herself and women all over country. You know I wouldn't go out there and preasent myself to the world and say hay here I am. and I know everything. Listen I know that I don't how ecomics works. But I am smart enough to know that this women is major disater waitng to happen. I don't know much about foriegn policy. Really I have only known one muslim personally. . BUT i know enough to know we are fighting the wrong country. We made that place a play ground for terist just by being there. Granted Saddem was not a nice guy. Most dictars are not. Look wtf do we have the White house ok. Ok not nearly as bad . But he was removed out of power so long ago i don't even remember, what 2003, 2002????

I would not try to debate or to speak about things i don't have knowledge of. (That is why I am voting on Nov. 4th for barack Obama to put someone who has REAL KNOWLEDGE WTF IS GOING!!!)That doesn't mean i'll never have knowledge of that stuff. But I wouldn't accept the vice presidency and try and think I will pull the wool over our countries eyes. You know I think , I swear I see strings attached to her arms. I swear someone in background is pulling them. Who f does she think she is fooling with this act. Posing for camera's and just because she meets foriegn people doesn't mean she is knowledable about them or there country. Just because she said she watched for a Russia planes in her sky over Alaskia or whatever, doesn't Makes her ready to be a president if it came to it . See Mccain was slick he saw or the rnc or whoever said , well since hilliary is out. Now we can get another women to take Hilliarys place.. And they had the nerve to say who can we pick to someone to fill Hill's spot with women voters. (I know the barbi doll, no thats to go for her) Let's fine a good looking professional women we could put infront of the camera . dress her up with some pretty good lines and let's see if the dumb women of America tear tail and run to her. why because she is a mother with a disabled child . Or she is expert on health care. reform health care . Please, the women probably has kick ass insurence and a full time nanny. What her husband?? ya right. I am a mother with diabled four year old daughter, My child is on the husky plan!! come on I bet Todd palins teeth are not falling out, like my husband's who has limited insurence at best and he works forty hours a week.still pays high premiums. This women has know Idea, what real people have to go through. Did she lose her home in a hurricane? and have to live in a trailer. NO. does She even ever been on food stamps. No probaly not. i wonder though has she ever been to a grocery store? probably but hasn't been lately. maybe it was when bill was president. Baracks knows and he understands. and is not pretending or just saying things to win over people. katie over there a cbs. i don't think she likes her either. Sarah palin needs to get grip. She is just a trophie wife to the repulican party. Mit is better fit to vice president. Come on. Joe biden is going to eat her alive. And they want post pone the vp debate. she is nothing but little chicken!!!! Nov 4th is coming. And we are ready and willing to take back our country. KH

how little Katie Couric's questions dealt with the substance of GOVERNOR Palin's answers. Katie clearly didn't do her homework. It just goes to show that when Katie deviates from the set script, her off-subject questions make the whole interview look silly.
