is the religious right party. If there were any doubters, this is the perfect example of it. There are some Hindus, Muslims, Jews that support the republican brand - wouldn't they be put off by this? If there was something similar done on Barack side, I think it would definitely turn people way. But it doesn't matter for the republicans; they seem to believe they are the white, Christian nationalist party.

You can't bring religion into this - especially this way. They're making this election into a sporting event - my team (God) versus your team (Budda, Allah, Krishna, etc.). If god can determine the election, what's the point of voting? If god can determine the election, why can't we get healthcare for *everyone*? If god can determine the election, why can't we have a stable economy? It's because we (the people) ultimately make it happen (though, we may derive satisfaction in these activities because the idea of a god). Looks as if the republican party is the party of old values and ideas. This shouldn't be valid political discourse in the 21st century. IMO, the republican party deserves to lose (and big)...we'll see how god sorts it out ;)
