Krugman makes the good point that government HAS to spend us out of this downturn, and infrastructure is the best bet.

2. I rarely watch Hardball because Matthews never allows his guests to talk
He really is much too interested in the sounds of his own voice as opposed to anything resembling journalism. It's amazing that anyone would even bother to go on his show.

3. He's really got to lay off the energy drinks before his shows.
Once he had his wife-I think she's a journalist-on the show and he was hinting at her speaking to slowly. He kept making remarks about timing.

8. John Dean handled Tweety quite well
After being interrupted about three times by Tweety answering his own questions, John Dean just sat there, allowing about 10 seconds of totally dead air.

Tweety truly is the worst interview in TV news. He is always convinced he has more interesting things to say than any guest on his show, even someone with a Nobel, like Krugman.

Perhaps Tweety should function as a paid "political analyst" rather than a host. Then his job actually would be answering the questions rather than asking them.

14. I never finished watching the interview
when it was originally on, because Tweety just wouldn't find an endpoint to his question so that Krug could answer it

6. Imagine Tweety in a subcommittee conducting hearings!
Sobering thought, isn't it? He'd be grandstanding and enjoying hearing himself talk while nobody else could get a word in.

10. STFU for once!
"The mouth of a wise man lies in his heart(Krugman), but the heart of a fool lies in his mouth(Matthews)" - Benjamin Franklin

Seriously, I'd vote for the giant potato in the blond wig over
this windbag. VOTE POTATO IN '10

11. Why all the fuss? Seriously?
I think Matthews does a great job. I am a reporter as well and I love to hear how much he knows about stuff. Krugman didn't seem to mind. It wasn't as if Chris was calling him names, he was just asking questions. His show is called HARDBALL!

12. Matthews did a good job. A little talky, but not overboard.
Krugman has an 'analytical' style, which responds rather than
initiates. Matthews knows he must 'develop' his questions,
and does so here in a reasonable manner.

We might suggest to detractors that it could be a lot worse.
Think Bilious Bill O'Whackout. There you are.

Besides, anyone who thinks this stuff is easy should give
it a whirl. Post a video of the attempt. lol.

13. You are setting a pretty low bar for performance
At least he's not Dildo Reilly. Well, you've got me there.

But he could let Krugman finish a sentence. Sometimes you have guests that speak in soundbites, sometimes you don't. Chris needs to adjust and keep his own bloviating down to a dull roar. But YMMV.
