There is generally more dissent on the left, that much is clear. For evidence I refer you to the last 8 years that largely consisted of R's defending the Bush administration. Oh sure, *after it was too late* a good number of them now pretend like they never stuck up for this bunch of incompetents/idiots/criminals, but we know better.

And let's not forget that Alaska Senator Ted Stevens (aka, The Felon) came VERY close to being re-elected this year. It's one thing to elect people who you think *might* have done something terrible, but quite another to try and elect someone who you KNOW did something terrible.
