He again advocates for the Medicare program to remain and be allowed as an opt in alongside the private insurance plans. He said that will be real change only if that is allowed.

Dean says the real battle will be between the health care industry and the people of America. The health care industry will want to block the Medicare option which many people would prefer.

3. What the hell was that? Andrea Mitchell sucks.
She is not spontaneous at all, seems like someone is telling her what questions to ask over her headpiece.

5. I think she had time lag...she was in Jerusalem.
But not one of my favorites. I have little love for her after what her hubby helped do to our country.

12. Andrea Mitchell? ANDREA MITCHELL??
Andrea Mitchell is a media rat who jumped off the sinking republican ship just in time. She is now trying to jump onto the Obama bandwagon, hoping nobody notices. She's part of the problem; not part of the solution. As Worf would say, she is a waste of skin.

7. Dr. Howard Dean represents the type of spokesperson for
making sure Americans have a voice in this matter. I did find it concerning that Doctors,Nurses, being blocked from discussions on how to deliver medical care to Americans.

8. Crooks and Liars calls out Andrea Mitchell on this interview.
She really was pretty bad, but then since her hubby helped damage our economy I doubt she should have such visibility.

http://crooksandliars.com/john-amato/andrea

"She may have been tired from her trip following Hillary, but I found this kind of odd while she talked to Howard Dean about health care.

Mitchell: Does it ever worry you that this President is taking on too many issues. Because if the economy---which he could not have anticipated, the huge downturn that we've now experienced. He's got to worry about the banks, he's got to worry about the auto makers, he's got to worry about the insurance industry and the overall downturn and take on health reform at this time...

I think everyone knew that the economy was going to collapse in America and around the world, especially after Paulson pleaded for 700 Billion dollars before the presidential election ever took place."

She's not a good interviewer at all.

I get the feeling from reading this thread and another one today, that you have a stalker, and a rather nasty one to boot.

I'm not aware of the history behind the situation, but please continue to post, as I always look for your posts. Hopefully your stalker will find something better to do.

ETA: K&R!

15. I'm not here enough to keep up with not only the name changes,
but past spats, but this stood out very blatantly to me just today.

I need to find out about some election results today, and I have to comb through my records for the membership submitted to the TN Federation of Democratic Women, to find any mistakes. Perhaps your stalker should find something to keep busy with? PM me if you feel like it. Take care.

my medical care was 10% of gross, OF GROSS!
and I have insurance and do not have expensive health care problems.
God help anyone who does.

These costs are insane. There is no reason.
I have a plan to fix this, sure fire, but first
I'll require a guillotine!!

I am still PO'd that Dean wasn't selected as HHS Secretary. But since that's not to be, I hope that he continues his high visibility in support of the Medicare option. :kick: :yourock:

23. K&R -- Dean knows that a voucher plan that ELIMINATES Medicare is a POISON PILL for real reform.....

.....but unfortunately, the administration has snubbed Single Payer advocates and has hired a "White House adviser" that wants to PRIVATIZE/("voucherize') Medicare and ELIMINATE the option of Medicare for future retirees.

If this were to be enacted, it would be the death knell to ever achieving Single Payer reform
