single payer supporters and people very much against private insurance not to mention Conyers and Feingold are not in this initial meeting I believe. Many of the people are following a more public finance program. This is why I said the article is misleading and this part is different from the end of the summit that has the 150 people you were speaking about. Obama wasn't even in this room.

Single-Payer Advocates Win Seats at White House Health Summit
Dr. Oliver Fein releases prepared remarks

WASHINGTON - March 5 - Two leading advocates of single-payer health reform, sometimes characterized as an improved Medicare for All, received last-minute invitations to attend the White House health care summit being held today. The invitations were greeted as a victory by single-payer supporters.

Rep. John Conyers Jr. (D-Mich.), chief sponsor of the single-payer U.S. National Health Care Act, H.R. 676, was invited to attend the meeting late in the day on Tuesday, and Dr. Oliver Fein, president of Physicians for a National Health Program, was invited on Wednesday afternoon.

The White House invitations were extended to the two leaders after intense grassroots lobbying efforts by single-payer supporters, who were concerned that no single-payer voices would be present at the meeting. The efforts included an outpouring phone calls and e-mail messages to the White House, along with a threatened demonstration outside the White House gates by doctors and other health professionals wearing their white coats. The demonstration was called off when word arrived that Rep. Conyers and Dr. Fein had been invited."

12. Obama -
a political genius? He is MAKING people demand single payer. Didn't he say in his campaign something similar to "if you want something, YOU make it happen"? If he can get something going with choices and he can make a Medicare-type plan the very best option, people will want it, and health "insurance" will phase out because people won't buy it.

14. Phase out doesn't make sense...
They want to push an ideology that Obama is failing us which is far from the truth. And they also want to create a level of hysteria because it makes them feel better. So word usage, people talking about single payer is not 'single payer" unless the key proponents of it such as Conyers and Feingold being there means nothing. Their voices weren't even able to carry UNTIL Obama came into office; not to mention that so many others are talking about the same thing who WERE invited that I don't see what the big deal is.

13. But I'm not talking about TWO people...
You're focus is only on TWO people as though they have the monopoly. I'm going by the video which I have stated so many times I'm parroting it. I've said clearly that this video shows that there are MANY supporters of single payer and they are not limited to those two men. Did you even bother to watch the video because your continuous spamming of the same article in ever response to me says otherwise.

6. I love DENNIS RIVERA. This man is amazing...
And he's the voice of the practitioners. I love this guy and he speaks for the doctors and the doctors heard our needs. We can't see them, if we don't have coverage and he's realizing it's better to care about us.

15. CNN was the only "news" network that showed the EMT from Indiana's speech
we can't be allowed to know that this was a grassroots movement

Andrea Mitchell cut to two guys in suits who gave the normal talking points.
