They'd rather have 10 people go hungry than have 1 person get a free ride.

But in fact it's not- in this case they can't stand the thought of their tax dollars going to help the less fortunate.

Why don't they just come out and admit that they don't care about poor people? All the contradictions they spew go away when that one little caveat is introduced. Oh yeah- if they did that they'd only get 1% of the vote in every election.

That's why the Republicans have been trying so hard to move this country toward feudalism- there just aren't enough stupid people left to vote for them.
