This is a sad example of the sexual repression forced on women through patriarchal social structures. I cringe when I hear someone state that sex should be with "consequences", as if it were something bad. This attitude hits the high mark on misanthropy. I bet she and her husband are both very unhappy people. Rush reveals something interesting when he says men tire of sex after two or three years. I personally think that his three marriages were never consummated, as his interests lie elsewhere, but, if I'm wrong, then I suppose his wives got frustrated and left.

for callers to make Rush seem almost, er,.......................................reasonable. One day I listened as a raving woman told Rush that drivers of small fuel efficient had better look out because she was driving a big safe SUV to keep her family safe. I believe the intelligence level of his listeners makes this an almost daily occurrence.

He clearly has deep psychological issues with empowered women, and this lady -- although doing it from a conservative christian standpoint, announced that she was happy she had an excuse to withhold sex from her husband. This really made Rush visibly nervous. I think he had some issues in childhood, like he had a domineering mother that emasculated his father and withheld sex with him as a method of controlling him -- that he has spent his whole life rebelling from in the form of insecure, pseudo-machismo. All these hyper-conservative personalities seem to have grown up with one parent being very controlling and laying down rigid authority. If it's their father, than the kid becomes an egotistical womanizer, and if it's their mother, the kid becomes an insecure wanna-be poseur that really has no balls of his own. Rush strikes me as more of the latter.
