Frum is smart enough to realize Rush is poison to the less crazy portions of the GOP which are left. But only that smart.

1. Frum was a lot better on Matthews' show than he was last fall on Rachel's.

Then, he was a class A whiner and I think he cringed when he saw himself on tape. It looks like the guy took a good, hard look at what was going on withhis party and decided to step up. We'll see if this continues...

BTW, he didn't really answer the question if he had gotten threats to his career as a result of his Newsweek piece. I bet he lost some of his work because of it...

2. Frum is basically wrong on everything

But it is obviously since the election that he is having some sort of public crisis of conscience. I dont mean that he is questioning his values or views as a Republican but he is questioning the direction the party is going. And he has been around politics long enough to know that the direction Rush and other wingnuts are taking the party is going to insure Democratic majorities for years to come. It is funny that so much of the Republican leadership doesnt see what Frum and now Gingrich are seeing.

3. I thought he was dead on and was representative

of what conservatives were some 20 or so years ago before the party was taken over by religious fanatics. At any rate, they hate him over at freerepublic so that being the case I am going to post only good things about him wherever I go.
