2. Glad to be the first to K & R. . .
. . .Cenk, keep on speaking this truth to the Israeli power over us.

How blatantly unequal is our treatment of Arabs versus Israelis.

What to do. . .over and over again. . .

My only hope is that Team Obama convenes with the Opposition in the Israeli Knesset. . .even the US Jewish activists who recently made a human chain to block the Israeli consulate in Los Angeles to protest the Gaza assault . . .
http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/lanow/2008/12/competing-demon.html

ANY public gesture toward these Israelis will help REAL peacemaking, not all this political gamesmanship.

I sure do hope George Mitchell-Samantha Power are working on gathering ALL Israeli factions, not just the hardliners in power.

At least emphasize to the world that Israel's government has critics from within, not just from Chas Freeman, and that their absolute censorship of criticism = fascism = no peaceful solution.

And, most importantly,
Obama himself should insist on hearing ALL Israeli critics, even as he approved pulling Freeman. . .

at some kind of regional summit for Mideast issues.

If he doesn't, then Obama is caving in to the mother of all lobbyists = neo-conservative Israelis.

So, what's it gonna be, President Obama!

Same-ole-same-ole OR change we can believe in?

3. Cenk, Israel is a reliable ally of the United States in an area
that, with or without Israel is unstable and hostile to the U.S. Forgetting that Israel is Jewish, forgetting it experiences from its neighbors, forgetting everything else, it is in the interest of the U.S. to prioritize protecting the interests of Israel.

We did the same for England in WWI and WWII. We do the same for our other close allies around the world. Whose side are you on? The good friend that calls you and offers you comfort when you have a problem? Or the jerk who takes advantage of you whenever the opportunity arises? Israel is our good friend.

The culture in Israel is most like our own. We don't kill people for converting to Christianity -- as has been done in some countries in the Middle East. Neither does Israel We have a fairly stable fairly democratically elected government. So does Israel.

Of course, the U.S. favors Israel, and anyone who is going to work in a supervisory position for any American administration had better favor Israel. Israel is our best friend in the Middle East. It is strategically located, and we had better never forget it.

6. Weee're GOOOD. Theeey're BAAAD!
Baaa, baaa...

You've certainly read George Orwell's "Animal Farm" so PLEASE JUST STOP IT! The horror we are witnessing has NO WINNERS. We are ALL degraded by its continuance as terrorizing each other produces nothing but TRAIF. You know, the SHIT you don't wanna eat NOR do "they."
