In this week's address, President Barack Obama makes key announcements regarding the safety of our nation's food.

"We are a nation built on the strength of individual initiative. But there are certain things that we can't do on our own. There are certain things that only a government can do. And one of those things is ensuring that the foods we eat, and the medicines we take, are safe and don't cause us harm."

I've never seen a President so busy in my lifetime. This is incredible!

2. He's awesome. I liked that he related the peanut butter issue back to his own kids...

...he has a PERSONAL stake in many of these issues because of his girls, his wife, mother, grandmother - his family - and it shows in his governing. I think that is a good thing.

One of my friends who was a major Hillary supporter told me the other day that he can't believe how he is impressed by President Obama more and more every day.

I wonder if they will have generic ones for when he has a week off - this week's address is on being a good neighbor :) What a difference it is to have someone with a brain in the Whitehouse as opposed to someone who was merely in line to get one.

Correcting Bush mismanagement is a full time job in itself.

7. Food safety is something even conservatives have to admit

is in the venue of the government--Bush's lax policies have shown that the food industry won't regulate itself.

But I did notice he looks really tired. I hope he gets some rest this weekend.
