3. I can't see how anybody who isn't an idiot

would think we would just turn people loose. It makes no sense at all. I could see somebody who doesn't follow politics, news or this issue at all, but most people if they had it explained like this would immediately understand. If you told most people that if you capture somebody they should be charged and have a trial or tribunal so we can find out if they are guilty or not, they'd probably just say: "Well yeah, duh!" it's that elemental. I think most casual observes just presume that these people are in Gitmo because they have been found to be guilty of something, when that's not the case. Imagine if there was a murder in your neighborhood and somebody gave a generic description of the killer, and it basically fit you, as well as probably millions of other men in this country. And so they pick up several guys, including yourself, who fit that generic description and just throw you in jail for 7 years without even charging you or giving you a trial. Nobody would accept that. It's insane. Almost anybody would understand that we have to have some type of process and we can't indiscriminately imprison people. Let along torture them.

Hannity has an agenda, he's a liar. But anybody else who has half a brain and is honest, they can figure it out in a second. I absolutely can't grasp how supposedly serious lawmakers can't just get this. It's almost sociopathic.
