12. I've got a retention bonus for AIG FP...

As explained by Liddy, the "retention" bonuses being paid out to the Financial Products division was to keep them at their desks so that they could "un-wind" their individual books of business.

After they complete this task of untangling there part of the business, they then receive their bonus. The thinking is, as I understand it, was that they know their portion of the problem better than anybody else.

I have a better idea. If they stay on to close out their books, they will be given a reduced sentence if any of their so called "books of business" reveal wrong doing including the use of ill acquired mortgages within their financial products.

Untangle this mess and the Justice Department won't throw the book at you! Walk away, and risk jail time.
