1. I attended an anti war protest in Columbia MO
Sadly we could get only 20 people to take a bus from St Louis to Columbia on a nice Saturday morning. There were approximately 400 in attendance, some from St Louis, Columbia and Kansas City. Tomas Young, of Body of War, spoke. He's good. His mom was there with him. He no longer wears the ice packs but has a T shirt that uses spray on freon, something developed for NASCAR drivers. He looks more comfortable wearing that than he did in the documentary wearing the ice packs.

It was an OK demonstration. Too polite for my tastes, the organizers actually had people STOP at red lights instead of going through them.

I am of the opinion that NOTHING will change if we act like nice middle class Americans and ask them to end these wars. We must take to the streets and INCONVENIENCE the normal everyday operations. Iraqis and Afghanis are WAY inconvenienced by these wars. Americans need to be reminded that there are wars going on in our name. Marching down empty downtown streets is not the way to do end war.

2. I'm so glad Tomas Young was able to go.
I can't imagine the physical and mental torture he endures each day. Bravo to all those who did show up - 400 is nothing to sneeze at! Good for all of you and thanks for not giving up.

3. 400
in the middle of Missouri is definitely nothing to sneeze at!

I was at the one here in DC, I'm combing through hours of footage right now (I'll put a video up soon).

For now, I have some picks of the event that you can check out:
