RICE: My view is, we got to do it our way. We did our best. We did some things well, some things not so well. Now they get their chance. And I agree with the president; we owe them our loyalty and our silence while they do it. <…> These are quality people. I know them. They love the country and they won’t make the same decisions, perhaps, that we did. But I believe they’ll do what they think is best for the country.

1. "We did our best."
"We did some things well, some things not so well."

You did torture well and made our country not so well.

2. Oh, how nice. They got to do things their way. To hell with everyone else.
Typical from that lot.

3. yes they sure did.
Too bad their way was the wrong way. Too bad the people gave them the chance to do so much damage. Damage me and my children and grandchildren will have to pay for.

Hell yeah, they won't make the same decisions. Obama didn't need to see Bush's epic fail to know that those "things" were not good for the country.

4. Actually, I think this was a very classy and true answer.
I appreciate that she acknowledges we love our country, and we'll do what we think is best. They did it, it didn't work, and now its time to try something else.

I'm good with this one. Granted, its a blatant 'good cop/bad cop' ploy, but I'm good with it.

5. Agreed. She said that these are good people (meaning this administration)
I think it was a good answer.

6. Yeah. She was surprisingly civil in the interview
I remember her annoying filibusters when she deigned to appear at Senate and House meetings. In the clip, it was like butter couldn't melt in her mouth.

10. I saw her on Charlie Rose
and she was very "classy". I disagree with a lot of things she said, but she was far more open and articulate than when she was part of the Bush administration. Surprisingly, I didn't swear at the TV once.

11. I hate her the least of all the Bushbots, she seemed more a failure than evil.
If she was half as smart as everyone says, she would've followed Paul O'Neill, Richard Clarke, and Colin Powell out the door. A bit of class may be all she has left.

8. Somehow seems apropos
I did my best
But I guess my best wasn't good enough
'Cause here we are back where we were before
Seems nothing ever changes
We're back to being strangers
Wondering if we oughta stay
Or head on out the door

Just once can't we figure out what we keep doing wrong
Why we never last for very long
What are we doing wrong
Just once can't we find a way to finally make it right
Make the magic last for more than just one night
If we could just get to it
I know we could break through it

I gave my all
But I think my all may have been too much
'Cause Lord knows we're not getting anywhere
Seems we're always blowing whatever we got going
And seems at times with all we've got
We haven't got a prayer
Just once can't we figure out what we keep doing wrong
Why the goodtimes never last for very long
Seems we're always blowing
Whatever we got going

Just once can't we find a way to finally make it right
Make the magic last for more than just one night
If we could just get to it
I know we could break through it

Just once I want to understand
Why it always come back to good-bye
Why can't we get ourselves in hand
And admit to one another
That we're no good with out the other
Take the best and make it better
Find a way to stay together

Just once can't we find a way to finally make it right
Make the magic last for more than just one night
I know we can break through it
If we could just get to it

Just once
If we could get to it

Just Once...

14. Even Frank Sinatra would not have approved of their way.
I'll bet Condi sings this every morning when she gets up.

And now, the end is near;
And so I face the final curtain.
My friend, I'll say it clear,
I'll state my case, of which Im certain.

I've lived a life thats full.
I've traveled each and every highway;
And more, much more than this,
I did it my way.

Regrets, I've had a few;
But then again, too few to mention.
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption.

I planned each charted course;
Each careful step along the byway,
But more, much more than this,
I did it my way.

Yes, there were times, Im sure you knew
When I bit off more than I could chew.
But through it all, when there was doubt,
I ate it up and spit it out.
I faced it all and I stood tall;
And did it my way.

I've loved, I've laughed and cried.
I've had my fill; my share of losing.
And now, as tears subside,
I find it all so amusing.

To think I did all that;
And may I say - not in a shy way,
No, oh no not me,
I did it my way.

For what is a man, what has he got?
If not himself, then he has naught.
To say the things he truly feels;
And not the words of one who kneels.
The record shows I took the blows -
And did it my way!

but I give her credit for supporting the current administration publicly.

They love the country and they won’t make the same decisions, perhaps, that we did.
(I sure hope the hell not}

We now know you tried to overthrow the constitution..outted an agent, trashed our civil rights etc etc etc....and one day...you will have to account for what you did.

20. I can't watch her
Or Chimpy or the Dick ANYMORE!
I get physically sick watching these murdering criminals get free airtime to whitewash themselves.

But she sure has the gift of communicating exactly what she wants to portray if some of the gushing praise I see in the comments are any indication. How soon we forget.

Do you'all REALLY think she wants a Democratic administration to embarrass her and her peers by showing them up and showing what an actual competent President can accomplish? My guess is that all those from that sordid cast,including Bush himself, are now groveling in order to curry favor with Obama to NOT start an investigation on their war crimes. Although the Big Dick doesn't seem to give a shit.
