This will be surely be in the entertainment columns tomorrow...

During Overtime, Mos starts talking over all the guests even more than during the show and ends as a blabbering idiot - seriously - you have to see it. He accuses Bill Maher of planning a confrontation between him and Christopher Hitchens another guest on the show. Mos would do well to learn how to listen more rather than fill any silence or other peoples words with his rants.

Maher was rightfully pissed.

8. Sorry, that's not what I saw.

Mos Def simply asked for clarification of the other guests views. If Maher was pissed at anybody... he grabbed Chris' wrist at one point and declared, "that's the Scotch (whiskey) talking." Mos Def was able to bring up a reference to a case that no one else on the panel had heard of. To continue to assert that one must have only the same reference points as Chris Hitchens and Bill Maher's other guests to participate in any discussion was completely demolished at that instant. Sorry, Mos Def 1, Chris and Bill 0.

9. hitchens was trying to be dismissive of mos def.

but, mos brought it. he used humor while hitchens used a superior attitude ( so bush era). i liked the point that everyone has a god-it may not be jesus or allah but there is something we worship ( money, cars, women, status, etc). when bill was ranting about poor people idolizing the rich, like somehow we are responsible for this crap-mos said something like they don't want to think about being poor-sure people dream about what they don't have. i think the new talking head trick is to have black people on when you talk negative about the president. if they agree it makes you look less like a racist. disagreeing with the pres doesn't make you a racist. saying racist crap-showing your racism makes you a racist.

The pot discussion -- "He's the black guy with the job."

Then towards the end -- "He taking your daughters."
