The President addresses the people of North Dakota, South Dakota, and Minnesota as they face down disastrous flooding. He speaks of what the government is doing, but also stresses that times of crisis like this are reminders of the need and opportunity Americans have to keep their dedication to service.

3. Bush administration turned away the volunteers in New Orleans..
I remember reading and seeing articles on all the civilians and other nations that tried to come to help New Orleans and how they were turned away. That was such an evil thing to do. How many died because the boats were turned back and ships with supplies were told to go back to their own countries..etc? We must never forget.

5. Excellent but I had to laugh at one thing.
I pictured Shrub trying to fumble through saying "red river rising". Of course Shrub would have waited until a month later before even mentioning this disaster much less doing anything about it.

We are all in this together.

It is inspiring to see the volunteers in North Dakota and Minnesota.

I always know the weekly address will be posted in the video's and look forward to watching the it over the weekend when I get the chance.
