1. This has been televised many times. Just curious, why do
you consider this a political video?

2. Police mistreatment is often a political issue in my opinion!
The fact that African Americans are disproportionately effected especially!

3. To be fair, Cenk and Jayar's take on this issue has *not* been televised many times.

6. I think we need an "I'm an asshole" tag. Just my humble opinion.
I also disagree with Cenk on this issue, first time ever. I think that the cop should be fired. Let's face it, the cop is not showing "bad judgement", the cop is not showing "lack of common sense", the cop is showing that he is on a power trip. I have said it on other threads..... when cops get killed, it is due in part to cops just like this guy. This guy is showing just how high and mighty he is. Look at me, I can control whether this guy can see his dying relative or not. I am so powerful!

8. never seen this and why would you assume everyone else has, and two, it's a story of
police misconduct - sorry, but that's a big topic around the US, current events are open game here when it deals with how our city, county, state govt and law enforcement interact.

5. This type of asshole gives all law enforcement a bad name.
If you want to give the guy a ticket, wait outside for him, or just ask the security guys who are standing there if his mother in law is indeed in that hospital. There are some in law enforcement that just HAVE to prove they are right, no matter what the cost, no matter IF it matters that they are right or not. This makes it difficult not only for the citizens, like this guy, but for other members of law enforcement who have to deal with the backlash that will come out against this type of thing.

7. I believe this is the 1st time I've disagreed w/Cenk
As this video clearly shows, the cop exhibited no common sense, no compassion for the citizens he swore to protect and serve and even after he was informed that the mother-in-law was dying and had only minutes to live, he still kept up his power trip.

The cop is an epic failure, as some have found out since. (His blog says it all.)

IMHO, he should be suspended without pay until an thorough investigation has been completed. Once that is finished, I hope that he would be fired.

Had some cop on a power trip did the same to me, more than likely I would have been shot in the back.

What a miserable motherfucker this son of a bitch in a uniform is.

An embarrassment to the badge, an embarrassment to decency.

In the service, this kind of behavior is an example of why some people are deservedly fragged by their fellow company members

You know the department will never cut this prick loose because they feel they would lose some kind of twisted authority regarding infallibility right?

RAW

10. The Cop deserves to be fired PERIOD. He failed miserably in the most fundamental lessons as a cop.
