Governor Mark Sanford is really going to have to do some back peddling when his State is willing to throw Federal tax money back into the incinerator rather than put it to good use for his constituents.

Some people see light and color. I hear people's voices (I did not say that I hear voices), and in people's voices, I hear who they are. Judging from his voice (and enunciation), I would say that this guy is a manipulative phony. By voice, I am talking about the use of the body's musculature to produce the vocal sounds that we call speech.

Note, that he doesn't open his mouth a lot. His voice sounds kind of squeezed. Also there is a hissing sound that is not just in the tape. He is trying to sound kind -- sweet, but you can hear that he is making an effort. His voice is not connected with his emotions. He is not straightforward or forthright. He may be talking down to his audience. He sounds like it is painful for him to say what he is saying in the "nice" way he is saying it. He also does not sound confident. I hope this makes sense. If you have a good ear, you may hear what I am trying to explain.

See, his "I got mine so f*ck you" attitude is what we refer to as "the pig," and his "listen to my beautiful voice" affable schtick is the proverbial "lipstick."

Put the two together, and you can see what this a$$hat (and his whole party really) is trying to pull off...
