24. That's the one being discussed. Re-reading my post --- I need to clarify. It's not that site
that is getting marked as unsafe. The unsafe warning is for many of the sites in the list when googling 2m4m...mostly sites that appear (from their description) to be promoting NOM.

16. A brilliant line with expert delivery...
Rachel should host SNL one day...

This segment and Rachel's "teabagging" discussion with Ana Marie Cox remind me of the classic SNL holiday sketch where Alec Baldwin plays Pete Schweddy, the owner of "Seasons Eatings" -- a holiday bakery.

In that sketch Baldwin is interviewed on NPR (by Molly Shannon and Ana Gasteyer) about a signature treat from his bakery... "Schweddy Balls."

17. It boils down to the same cognitive principle;
'Those that must compartmentalize and simplify their worldview cannot maintain cultural aptitude.'

Basically; the inflexible lose.

Every time.

Isn't that a great source of hope? Love ya Maddie... always have.

Teabagging

M4M.... TWO M4M!

Hey...I have friends on Man Hunt!

BTW...aren't those Teabaggers littering throwing all that stuff into public waters?

Check out Rachel's attempt to figure out exactly what the Teabaggers are actually protesting. It is what came right before this clip. It's up on MSNBC... I'm sure.

14. At one teabagger expo some were arrested
For polluting the water. Technically tea leaves don't pollute, but that state had a law against any substance that discolors water so it was applicable.

15. If enough stupid nutty people...
....throw tea bags in some river....I mean if 100 people each throw 4 or 5 tea bags... that's a lot of paper and string. I saw some of them tossing boxes of tea.

Boy....THIS is what makes them show conviction?....this is how to look patriotic? If this is supposed to be the Boston Tea Party, shouldn't they all dress up as red Indians? Might as well. Might as well look as foolish as possible if you're gonna make a national fool of yourself.

22. Isn't contaminating a public drinking system
considered an act of terrorism under the patriot act? I seem to remember a public service announcement about it regarding littering while using beaches around a reservoir.

25. Tea Party
Have high level liberal operatives infiltrated the right-wing message machine in order to make them look silly?

They're planning mass demonstrations in a few days by people who describe themselves as "teabaggers" and rant endlessly about "teabagging". For those who don't already know, here's the Urban Dictionary definition of teabagging. Not Safe for Work: http://www.urbandictionary.com/defin...erm=teabagging

Then there's the organization "Nation for Marriage". Have you seen their new anti-same sex marriage ad? Here's a link to the video. I'm not sure that I'd label it NSFW but be careful even so.
http://www.nationformarriage.org/sit...us_Liberty.htm

The ad ends with..."a rainbow coalition of people of every creed and color are coming together in love. " LOL

This organization, which sees same sex marriage as a gathering storm that threatens their freedoms, has started a new initiative, the "2 Million for Marriage" or "2M4M" initiative. Notice the acronym they themselves are using? "2M4M". Do I even need to link to urbandictionary.com? Not Safe for Work! http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=2M4M

From what I gather, they are they are using the Boston Tea Party as metaphor to say they disagree with the government. Nothing wrong with that. I support that right entirely. The problem is that these people seem to be entirely clueless as to how they're going about it. I understand the symbolism of tea. The problem is their use of the words "teabagger" and "teabagging" which, as far as I know, aside from actual tea dringking has had no use up till now other than a sexual one. You'd think that someone somewhere along the way would have realized that they were setting themselves up to look silly.

I'm not really against this. People can do what they want in the privacy of their own bedrooms. I'm just surprised that they're taking teabagging (*smirk*) so public. And Fox is right in the middle of it all, sponsoring and encouraging this affront to decent society! Won't someone think of the children??

Here's Rachel Maddow's hilarious take on it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-mSKdvE0o5Q

The loons have been Twittering to "teabag Obama." They have a Facebook page where they urge people to "teabag Obama" and they even hold signs that say things like "Tea bag the liberal Dems before they Tea bag you!!" (as if any self-respecting Democrat would want to teabag a freeper) so I'm not just making this up. They're the ones saying it. They're the ones using the term without the slightest idea what it means in popular culture, just like they're holding "Tea parties" without the slightest idea what that historical event meant or was about.

Even if the original organizers of these events had not heard of "tea bagging" in a sexual context when they started the protests, I'm sure they all know about it by now. If I knew anyone involved in, or even supporting, one of these events I'd tell them privately about the alternative meaning. I suspect the continued use of the term "tea bagging" is meant to get additional PR for the events (for example as a sarcastic thread in a snarky message board LOL ), and as yet another attempt of the Pubbie party apparatus to be "cool" "modern" and "hep" with all the young "cats" and the "lingo" they use at the "malt shop".

Except they've made it clear that "hep-cat" Michael Steele is not invited.
