If you missed Glenn Beck's Friday Fascism special you're lucky. It made my brain hurt as IQ points were savagely sucked from my skull. Four conservative historians eager to sell books queued up to feed Beck whatever he wanted to hear to support his crackpot theory that President Obama and Congress are marching America towards Fascism.

Funny, despite the stacked deck Beck couldn't make a case.

I would say that if this is the normal conservative/rightwing spin then we should be watching what they are doing very, very closely. The right wing blowhards have this tendency to accuse everybody except themselves of what they in fact are doing. I not only don't think Beck and his ilk are afraid of 'coming fascism' but as long as they were running the show they would have no problem with it.

as our Democratic Party could possibly move toward fascism. Mussolini made the trains run on time. That's just not how Democrats work. We did manage to set aside our differences of opinion long enough to get a president elected, but many Democrats are already skeptical about the Obama plans. We have a healthy amount of dissension here at DU for example, and that is the way I look it, and that is the way I think politics should be.
