I'm so fed up with the "grass roots" tea party hooey I had to put together this little satire to get my frustrations off my chest.

2. Yep, totally my effort...
... you could call it a "grass roots" satire. ;)

There's a web site called XtraNormal that allows you to easily slap together these little animations.

4. I just made one. I'm waiting for it to be rendered. I have a question.

Can you upload to youtube directly from the site?

5. Yes, you upload to YouTube directly from the site
After you publish your movie (I think you click "It's A Wrap") there's a link in the bottom right corner of the screen to publish to YouTube. You have to set up your YouTube account log-in information under the "Account Settings" tab first for it to work.

8. I did that and it says my credentials are incorrect. I watched the video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?gl=CA&hl=en&v=PlVhhziDmMA

It says click "your account" then "about you" This is going to sound really stupid but I can't find "about you".

18. It's beta software, it's changed since the video instructions
They actually made things clearer. They created a separate tab/link called "YouTube Publishing."

Getting there is easy. Sign in. Click "Account Settings" which is the link next to sign out. This takes you to a page where "Account Information" is linked to by default. "YouTube Publishing" is the link to the right of "Account Information." The rest should be like the video.

Type in your YouTube user name and password. Click "Test Credentials" to make sure everything works. If it does click "Save Information."

To publish your movie to YouTube click "My Movies." Pick the movie you wish to publish by clicking its title. In the bottom right of the screen click the "Publish to YouTube!" link and you're done.

9. I got it. Now I'm waiting for it to process. How long did that take?

It's only 45 seconds.

6. Terrific! K&R!
And I'll give this five stars on YouTube, too. We all are frustrated with these teabagging parties. *sigh* Actually got a robocall, just this morning, about their "message." x( This helps. Thanks! :patriot:

7. A friend got a robocall as well
Yep, a buddy got a robocall from out of state for him to attend a local tea party. It included a long anti-Democrat rant to impress upon him the non-partisan nature of the movement. ;)

10. Well, that makes no sense, does it?
"Non-partisan?" I agree that very few people in these land-locked towns and cities would have paid much attention to this nonsensical "teabagging" without the help of FIXED News and the like. What is the point? I'm sure that they don't actually know... :eyes:

The call came just this morning, was from a 281 area code, which I didn't recognize, here in Northern NY. Turns out that 281 is in Houston, Texas.

And why would they target me? I've signed every anti-RW petition that I come across, LOL. I also received a robocall asking me to vote for the Republican candidate in the March 31st special election for Congress here in NY District 20. It was on the answering machine because I was out working for the Democratic candidate, Scott Murphy. And the message was from Pat Boone! That sure changed MY mind...

16. Thanks, my friend! He's going to win this!
I was positive when I was working on the campaign, but the closeness of the vote count gave me doubts. In this district, very capable Democrats have lost before, based on party alone. This is a very red district. But now I'm sure we pulled it off. I just wish that it would be over, already! They started counting the overseas absentee ballots on Wednesday... What's taking so long?! :-(

17. Non-partisan was a dose of sarcasm
While I realize the signs pictured here written by "morans" isn't necessarily typical of everyone in attendance at the tea parties how can anyone with an open mind fail to see how phony all this grass roots hooey is? You have 3 conservative activist groups organizing many of them, two of which have Republican operatives who are running them or ran them in the past. You have Fox News and its ilk doing scads of free advertising.

Not only did Glenn Beck shill hard for them and stand on the podium at one announcing speakers, he curiously coordinated secretly with Dick Armey's group to set some of this stuff up.

The right-wing sheep are being led down the path by the usual conservative suspects: talk radio pundits, Fox News, and political action groups.

21. You're absolutely right, but they don't know any better.
Though even the benighted have to see that Glenn Beck has a screw loose...

These RW shenanigans need to be exposed by the mainstream media, but they're nearly as bad. :-(

My mother listens to Limbaugh, O'Reilly and Hannity, gives me crap because I don't "watch the news..." *sigh* But when I asked her who was responsible for 9/11, fearing and expecting that she'd say it was Saddam Hussein, she said that it was the Palestinians! :eyes: That's what you get when you watch FIXED News. x(

12. I just gave you five stars. :-)
But I can answer your question. The lack of concern over global warming comes from George Bush*, Gale Norton and those others who believe that The Rapture is imminent. They aren't worried about the fate of future generations because they don't believe there'll be any. I got that from RFK Jr. :-(

You sure pegged the Republicans. Me first. Talking about the grand kids is just sentimental window dressing as actions speak louder than words.
