just thought it was VERRRRY interesting how Cheney thinks - could 911 have been at the very least 'enabled', if not helped along by Cheney if early evidence of it was discovered? I'm no conspiracy theorist, believe me, but when you see Cheney talk nowadays and hear what is going on today with lying about torture and the level of deceit and planning for torture a full 2 years in advance and blaming others, nothing flies in the face of reality. Nothing.

Less for Iraq and "nuclear accident"

What I remember was that there was an accident, an explosion and that members of the group that survived were being treated for radiation exposure and other injuries. It was not immediately after the start of the invasion but soon after possibly before Bush did his PR "Mission Accomplished".

which detail ideas for a casus belli before the Iraq invasion.

IIRC one idea was to paint an allied plane in UN colors and buzz Iraqi anti-aircraft guns so that it would be shot down.

There are similar ideas in the "Northwoods" memo too.

4. I have long wondered about those IEDs and "suicide" bombs in Iraq.

Many of them did not kill Americans, just Iraqi people.
They were all used to demonstrate the pressence of "Al Kada" until even the Bush administration could not ignore the civil war going on in Iraq.
Any and all explosions in the Middle East were labled as "Al-Quada"...didn't matter who got hit, where they were, etc.
The sad thing is now I cannot believe anything anyone in power says.
