1. I see a little Piggy

...who's peeing all over his little pants. Scared that we might see you in handcuffs soon Karl?

By the way, don't you LOVE his statement to the effect that it's not befitting the US to go after former administration oficials based on differences with the current administration? Oh Dr. Frued? This is classic projection, when you remember the Siegleman case and all the attorney firings HE helped create.

And that torture was illegal not by policy but by the Constitution and Geneva Conventions.

35. Not really. If he were very very smart we wouldn't know about their crimes until
they were well away.

He's just willing to do things most humans aren't, like any ruthless thug he may be quite successful right up to the moment he's caught. Then he is just as dumb as the rest of them.

Edited on Wed Apr-22-09 01:44 PM by tomm2thumbs
Thanks for posting -

I had to come back and edit this as the video was playing, he was all over the place! I think there are some very disturbing secrets in the files and papers of the White House that are coming to light and if justice is truly served, he is going to be spending the better part of his Fox News salary on legal advice and lawyers. He is watching his one chance at getting away with rewriting history as it slides down the toilet - and I bet some whistle blowers inside the CIA and Pentagon who got screwed by Cheney and the like are going to be singing and providing documentation about all the lawbreaking going on.

This was not simple 'difference in policy' this is out and out violation of the United States Constitution - and nothing blows away the far right than someone messing with their holy sheet music like that.

Rove was shaken and there is definitely reason behind it. He was not the cool cucumber he has always managed to portray. Something is definitely up.

33. Yep that's about how I see it right now.
There will be more to come out implicating all of them for more abuses. The funny thing is that I think they all may have gotten away with it if Rove and Dick had kept their mouths shut like everyone was screaming for them to do. Now, someone will have to pay for this and once that happens they will start turning on each other. I think this will be a big distraction, but it's a distraction we can't afford to not pay attention to.

With his glasses and eyebrows forming a ridge around the middle of his head, like a rim and the studio lights all reflecting off of one little dot right on top, like a little hole.

I realize this is not the most deep, insightful political analysis in this thread, but if you watch it again you'll see what I mean.

20. Nice try Karl, but it isn't going to fly...
It wasn't "policy differences," or "criminalizing politics" that was or is the problem; it was breaches of federal laws, the constitution, international treaties and international law under cover of authority that made your and your cronies worthy of imprisonment.

There were, of course, instances of criminalizing politics: the prosecutions of Siegleman and other Democratic politicians; the attacks on ACORN; and the impeachment of Clinton, to anme a few. But they all came from you side of aisle.

27. The nice thing about
seeing the knuckle draggers out of power is that one can giggle with delight as they spew their venom on Fox, the radio and while teabagging each other. I really never got to see the and really enjoy the nuttiness of Republicans as they were usually in power when I started following politics and their words affected policy and made me wince with nausea. Their absolute paranoia and panic over the last two months is showing the majority of the country how truly insane they are....and that is delightful.

28. Mr. Rove, My parents were and are moral people, and they taught
me that before you do something you consider as objectively as you can how what you are doing will look to other people and to the world.

The law on the wiretapping and on torture were written very clearly. It did not take a genius to look at what the Bush administration was doing and realize that there would be legal repercussions for the crimes being committed at some point in the future.

If they wanted the right to torture, they should have gone to Congress and asked for a law that stated when and how they could torture. That is our system of government. That is the only legal way to change the parameters of what is permitted and what is not.

Rove thought he was building the Fourth Reich -- endless Republican rule over the U.S. and that there would never be a government that would look at the crimes that the Bush administration committed.

Rove is not the first criminal to have thought he could get by with it. That is the key to the mentality of certain criminals. That is what so many of them have in common. They know the rules. They violate the rules. And they violate them without a sense of guilt or fear because they either think no one will ever find out what they did and/or they convince themselves that their crime serves a greater purpose. It's the end justifies the means mentality. It was good enough for Hitler. It was good enough for Stalin. It's good enough for Karl Rove. Rove's translation: telling people what we did is wrong because it makes us less safe (nobody will ever find out because they won't dare tell what we did) and it may have been a crime, but it kept America safe (the end justified the means).

Go to any jail. Talk to the inmates. Again and again, you will hear a slightly different version of these Republican talking points with just the names and facts changed slightly for each inmate.

The prosecutor says I killed so and so, but it isn't true. Yes, I shot her but she didn't die. She was still alive. I saw here.

I've actually heard someone say that. The rationalizations of criminals are incredibly creative.

29. Violations of law should NEVER be a matter of policy. But with Bush it was.
In fact at time it appeared as if he were using US code and treaties as a checklist. Check, I violated that one. Check I violated that one too. Check! Check! Check! Isn't Policy wonderful? Maybe we should answer that question after Holder has called checkmate!
