1. National party leaders must protect their middling candidates
At least that is what I hear Senator Specter saying. Far left (and far right for that matter) activists have to stand aside while the Schumers (and the Doles) fund the centrists. Hence we have pro-life Bob Casey in Pennsylvania.

2. So, CHeney has taken down the whole party?
How was that choice of letting him pick the VP workin out? Bwahahaha! Mr. "I shot him in the face" doesn't look so swell now, does he? That ignorant fuck is the biggest GOP failure in history. A with a bit of luck, he'll have an appointment at the Hague.

The republicans are so bent out of shape for Obama apologizing for what Bush and Cheney did, why don't they let Bush and Cheney go to the World Court and explain how they fucked up so bad themselves?

What? Their cowards? They won't go explain their actions, yet they don't want Obama apologizing for them? I real man would stand up for what he did. Cowards run and hide. Cheney and Bush are both national embarassments. They gave up their rights to be Americans when they condoned torture. Both should be exiled to somewhere nice...say, Syria!

4. the term Specter used
was purifying. Apparently the gopstoppers don't want moderate voices and are seeing to it that they're purged. The country may have moved to the left for now..meanwhile the neocons are planning. I don't think they're done but like the cone of silence they're back building.

6. It was bound to turn out this way for the Repukes.....
"The core play in the GOP playbook for 44 years has been the magic negro playbook. They don't have another play or another playbook. Whether it is Willie Horton, or welfare queens and tax and spend, or the way they have dealt with immigration. They don't have a play in their playbook that doesn't start with the exploitation of racial divisions. They are going to have to reject 44 years of GOP politics in order to have any chance in the 21st century America."

~ Simon Rosenberg
